Reviews
Updating key information for accounts
For several actions on the platform, such as changing an address, updating an asset value, or updating a primary beneficiary, AET must review the information being changed. Often, the review is an automated process. However, in certain cases, a manual review by staff and supporting documentation may be required to be submitted to change the information in the system.
Review Types
The main review processes are:
- Address change review
- Asset valuation change review
- Beneficiary change review
- Contact Information Change
- Transfer In Reviews
- Investment Reviews
Submitting a Review
If you are looking for information on Transfer-In Reviews or Investments Reviews, they have their own requirements. See the associated guides.
The general process for submitting each of these reviews is roughly the same. First, use one of the endpoints above to submit the request. The review is created in the Draft status. The endpoint will contain the basic information about the data being changed. Then, use the update review endpoint to submit any supporting documentation and change the review status to "In Process."
Review Statuses
The review statuses for each of the reviews are the same:
In Process- The review is currently being evaluated by either our automated system or staff.Draft- The review has not yet been submitted.On Hold For Correction- Our system found problems with the review. Use theGETendpoint for the review and examine thenotesto see what further action is required.On Hold For Review- The review is currently being manually reviewed by our staff.Approved- The review is approved, and the changes are reflected in the system.Rejected- The review has been rejected from our system and cannot be resubmitted.Cancelled- The review has been cancelled by either the client or your application.
Resubmitting a Review
When a review is set to On Hold For Correction, additional documentation or clarification from the customer or business is required. To understand the next steps, use the associated GET endpoint of the review to pull the review and check the notes section. This will contain a message indicating what is required to get the review approved.
Use the update review endpoint to resubmit the review with any necessary supporting documentation and set the status of the review to In Process.
Required Documentation
The following documentation is required for a review:
- Address Change Review
- Utility bill or other piece of supporting documentation from a government agency that has the name and new address of the account holder.
- Asset Valuation Review
- For large asset valuation updates, qualified documentation is required.
- Beneficiary Change Review
- A signed beneficiary change form. This form will be provided to you during onboarding.
- Contact Information Change
- One of the following documents
- Marriage Certificate
- Name Change Certificate
- Copy of New Social Security Card
- Naturalization Certificate
- Divorce Certificate
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- One of the following documents
